Drôle de Tapissière
Héloïse Levieux, the creator behind Drôle de Tapissière was born in France. From an early age she followed her seamstress mother and upholsterer godmother in their flea market searches. They would bring back treasures to repair, remake, and bring life back into. The choices of fabrics and colors were the ones that came back to the young “tapissière” most often.
It was then natural for her to learn the craft of upholstery, after having been a decor seamstress for a long time.
Today, within her workshop, she proposes a custom service that follows all the rules of the art; Chairs, sofas, ottomans, from all eras in all fabrics, and to fulfill your needs whether they are for your home or the office.
“Today, it is all about speed. But it takes time and skill to attain the high level of craftsmanship I have set for my art. I will take the time necessary to guide you in your choices of fabrics or textures, I will listen intently in order to make a piece of furniture that is to you image.” – Héloïse Levieux
