L'Atelier des Compagnons
Stemming from a third generation of craftsmen specialized in the reproduction of period furniture, Maxime Basilières-Lebeuf founded L’Atelier Des Compagnons in 1995 to perpetuate the family tradition.
L'Atelier des Compagnons: Custom made furniture of all styles.
Inspired by the principle of trade guilds or « compagnonnage », where the master craftsman passes on his knowledge to his successor, Maxime chose the name L’Atelier Des Compagnons to reflect the tradition of quality which he inherited and will eventually pass along himself.
Completely made in Québec, the production of our furniture supports the local economy. Furthermore, they apply a method of tenon mortise assembly with respect to the ancestral tradition.
Well established in Outremont from the very beginning, the shop continues to faithfully delight its residents as well as furniture lovers from all over Quebec, Canada, the United States and Europe.
